Review on 🌞 3M Anti-Glare Filter for 15.6" Widescreen Laptop: AG156W9B – Reduce Glare for Crystal Clear Display! by Robert Long

Works as advertised but with sticky installation (literally)

I have a 14" anti-glare filter for my Lenovo YOGA bought the 910 laptop with its beautiful 4K (3840 x 2160) display. The only problem with a near-perfect laptop is screen mirroring. This filter undoubtedly eliminates glare, but it's a messy setup in my opinion. My filter came with tabs for attaching slides instead of strips for attaching. As far as I can tell, the main difference between the two is that the slide holder tabs attach to the display while the strips attach to the filter. I hated sticking something sticky. on my beautiful display, but I went with it. I had to apply tape twice, but I finally got everything lined up. And you don't have to worry about bubbles because the filter doesn't stick to the screen, it hangs. in the slide frame tabs. The filter stays on when I open and close the lid, but it's not exactly stable. It slips around the display a bit if you press hard, but since I just installed it I'm hoping it will hold up better over time. Another good point is that the touchscreen functionality still works. I don't think it's as responsive as it used to be, but it works. I've attached an image so you can see the slide mount tabs. I took the shot around 6pm CT so the sun wasn't really a factor, but the filter made a big difference early in the day when I was outside, as did the glare from the overhead lights.

Pros
  • Actual filter dimensions: 13 9/16" wide x 7 5/8" high (345mm x 194mm)
Cons
  • Requires outlet
