This is a good dog coat but I had to give it four stars because it's not heavy at all. We live in upstate New York with very cold winters. I wanted this for our pomeranian because he gets very cold. I especially wanted him to cover his chest where his long hair gathers snowballs and ice. It doesn't cover the chest at all. It has a thin velcro around the neck and just a piece of 2 inch velcro around the chest. Thus, it provides no heat except on his back. If you live in an area where the temperature is not that cold, that would be fine. . This is anti-dog sweatshirt material and it is not very thick. The outside is nice and waterproof, but the wool itself is thin. The size is good for men, the size is small, suitable for our pompom. I have provided pictures, if you want to use this coat for snowy and very cold areas, it is not suitable for that. For areas where you have cold rainy weather, it is ok.
