This is the second CL600 I own (the first was stolen). Definitely a solid meter, easy to use and read, good backlight. The only minor complaint will be with the wires. They're not as "good" as say the Fluke, but at this price point, that's okay. It's easier for me to plug the meter into the case with no cables connected. The case is made from cheap nylon and has very little padding so you have to be careful not to toss it in your bag. Overall, this is a good field meter. The CL800 has a few more features that I don't really need. This would be a great 1 meter for a beginner.
