I was glad to find this excellent tool for easy oil change in my Mazda3. For the last ten years I have used a pressed steel oil filter tool, the only tool I could find for a Mazda 2.3 liter cartridge oil filter. When I realized that the Mazda oil filter cover was 74mm with 14 grooves I decided to try this tool and I'm very glad I did. This tool fits the Mazda cover like a glove without the play of the stamped steel tool causing the steel tool to strain enough to get stuck in the cover. This tool offers wide groove contact making it easy to remove and reinstall without binding. A big advantage over forged steel tools is the contact area on the groove surfaces. Limitations on how deep you can draw with a steel tool cap vertical edges at 12mm in height, compared to over 20mm with this Motivx tool. The precise fit of this injection molded tool, combined with full engagement with the oil cap grooves, provides an optimal solution without compromise. Reliable tool and good buy!
