I had a workstation with a powerful computer, all accessories, UPS, powerful processing power, HD monitors, that's a great setup. I've started working from home and my new job doesn't allow me to use my own computer. They sent me a laptop and now I have a problem. I wanted to use my HD monitors with my laptop and my own computer. You may be thinking, just buy a KVM and you're done, NOT SO FAST. Many KVMs do not support USB 3 and High Graphics in a KVM switch. I saw this model and it seemed to fit the bill. There were enough cables. I connected two of my HDMI monitors to the KVM and then each computer needed 2 sets of cables to connect it to the KVM (I know all those cables are in a little box!) and yet everything fits. My trackball had to use one of the USB 3 ports as it didn't like the MOUSE port. I spoke to support and they said the trackball needs its own USB 3 port, no big deal. You have many options for sharing audio (beyond the obvious keyboard and mouse), microphone, and so on. You can also use the many HOT keys on the keyboard to toggle the monitors BUT I have to say I use the small MANUAL remote switch that comes with the kit (see pic). I switch between computers several times a day so let me tell you that it has now been hacked and is working great. So far I have no complaints. Video is clear, attachments work. Many people think that KVM is big, I have a photo, this is the measurement, they are small! Email support was good to reply one day. I was concerned about the high refresh rate in games and for what I'm running it's GOOD. I'm happy with the setup I have and the fact that everything works as advertised. If you don't know everything to run 2 monitors on each computer, you need 2 video outputs to connect to the KVM switch per computer (2 from laptop, 2 from desktop).
