Review on Cable Matters Snagless Shielded Ethernet Computer Accessories & Peripherals by Dangelo Toliver

I had to cut off one end of a 50 foot cable I bought so I could connect it to the old existing coax so I could pull it out and run it up in the attic and into another room. This gave me an opportunity to study the section of cable I had cut. As you can see from the photos there is no center slot as you would expect with a quality Cat6a cable. The foil is wrapped around each pair of cables, not all of them. There are very thin aluminum spacers (not sure) covering the outside of each insulated wire... not at all what you would expect. I don't see any ground wire at all. The individual wires within the insulation are copper studs, not solid copper wire as you can see from the photos. I will buy another brand with better performance and will return this immediately. I wish I had checked the cord before spending all that time running it up the wall. Because I cut it I can't return it now, but I will be returning the other Cable Matter cables I bought! Disappointed with Cable Matters!
