Very brittle cast steel.

I used a adjustable tap set handle on these to apply even amount of pressure with the fingers pressed all the way down into my broken tap to extract it. I did not make quick sudden movements, applied even pressure on both sides and snap! They might work for a tap that snapped off in a hole that only has a couple threads? Should have started out with the dremel and carbides. that always works
