I fix bikes for myself, friends and neighbors. I was a bit wary of these cables because they weren't branded. Upon receipt, the quality of the cables seems to be normal. I just replaced the brake and shifter cables in a major overhaul and everything is perfect. I usually buy Shimano or SRAM stainless steel cables ($4 each, so 2 brakes + 2 shifter cables = $16 per bike. Now you understand, you get enough cables for 2 bikes with this package. That's a great value -Ratio! Small extra accessories like cable grommets and cable rings are also a big plus. I didn't use gloves or S-hooks. The only extras I replace when the bike is overhauled are the derailleur sleeve and brake sleeve. The new sleeve ensures smooth cable routing.This kit doesn't add the body (I buy the body in 25ft rolls so it doesn't matter to me) to the bike.Also you will need special cutting tools.If you plan on cutting your old body reuse, you can lubricate the inner casing by applying grease to the cable before it is routed through the casing.
