was damaged I used this thermometer for various purposes.1. Baking bread. I usually proof the dough in the oven, which I preheat to 100-110 F. With this thermometer, I can read the thermometer value within a second after slightly opening the oven door. Works very well. Out of curiosity, I checked the oven temp after it started baking. Immediately after the oven signals that it has reached 350F, it checks the temperature, which is 370F. It reads a temperature close to 350 for one minute and then fluctuates slightly around that temperature.2. I have defrosted the fridge and freezer. The refrigerator has white panels and after defrosting, the measured temperature was within 1 degree of room temperature. After cooling down, I could easily measure the steadily decreasing temperature and after 24 hours it reached the final temperature. The temperature in the freezer was temporarily below 0 °C and then "stabilized" at (adjustable set point. The temperature in the fridge is never constant. 3. I measured the temperature in my house by placing the thermometer on the inside wall and straightened the furniture It was always within 1 degree of the thermostat set point I don't know how they compensate for different surfaces but this thermometer works great for my purposes.
