Review on 🐍 Cobra 95040 Encased Sewer Rod, 1/2-Inch by 40-Foot by Justin Santiago

Based on the product description I was hoping that I could use this rod to clean my downspouts from scratch but I found it to be the worst of both worlds : too stiff to bend, but too weak to break up a heavy pile of rubble. The packaging shows a picture of the bar in action making a 90 degree turn in the tube - however in my experience the bar has not been able to successfully pass even a 45 degree bend. I ended up climbing up the ladder and clearing the downspout with a pole from top to bottom, so it wasn't entirely useless (and to be honest it might work better on indoor installations). -- After writing this review, I lent this tool to a friend of mine who was trying to get rid of his line in the wall behind the kitchen sink. Same result: the bar was too stiff to withstand a flex.
