This tank came pre assembled so once opened it was ready to use. I have read other reviews and may have been lucky as after fumbling around there were no sharp objects in the tank I received. Also, the glass is not frosted, you just need to remove the hazy paint protection film from BOTH sides of the viewing platform on the tank. In total you need to remove 2 sheets of protective film. The tank is very beautiful and will look great in any room. It's the perfect size for my young box turtle. I sprayed the tank with warm water and it holds moisture fairly well as the vision area does fog up which is a good thing. There is plenty of ventilation and the top vent is fully removable. It is easy to place a heat lamp over the cage as the opening allows light and heat to enter. I see that this aquarium is suitable for many different small reptiles and amphibians. I soiled my coir substrate, but it washes off easily. The tank can be made cheaply but I consider it an advantage because the cost is less and after filling it with items it is still very light and easy to lift. My previous tank was a hassle to lift with the same items inside. Overall, this tank is value for money and a nice upgrade from my previous tank, as well as an affordable price point for this type of feature.
