From the Bird's Nest to Fabio's glorious castles.

Last December I went on a solo hike in Puerto Rico. This was my first time traveling anywhere outside of the mainland US, and it was also my first time traveling alone. I stayed there for two weeks and made it my business to invest as little money as possible. The only time I was able to shower was in a beach shower, which of course was not meant to be shampooed or conditionered. I was quite smelly and disgusting after sleeping on the beaches for two weeks. On the second and last night there (considering the fact that I really only spent money on lots of beer) I decided to book a hotel room at the Condado Plaza Hilton so I could be nice and clean for the flight home. This was my first legal shower since I arrived at PR and dear Jesus I am so happy that this was the shampoo and conditioner combo I used. I was used to hotel shampoo/conditioner being pretty crappy, but it was NOTHING like typical hotel products. My hair is very curly and thin which means it becomes a disgusting mess if I don't use conditioner every day. Add this to life at the beach for two weeks now. Yes, it was disgusting. The delicious liquid in a tiny hotel-sized emerald bottle made me feel like blonde messy curls that only baby Fabio could ever experience before. He transformed my bird's nest, beach-dried hair into a luxurious sea of velvety waves. I waited for the unicorn to prance at any moment and carry me across the rainbow bridge covered in sequins and glitter, my hair gently blowing in the cotton candy-scented wind behind me. The last part never happened, but I felt like I somehow scalped a sexy silk goddess and taped that scalp to my head. I've been using this shampoo ever since. It took me so long to write this review because I feel like I fall in love with shampoos and get tired of them quickly. But no, a year later I'm still in the Peter Thomas Roth advertising relationship. Do your hair a favor and buy this shampoo.

Pros
  • So far so good
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
