I first ordered this set for my mum a few years ago. She loved her and so did I. The firefly glow setting is our favorite. Then my aunt saw these lights and she liked them so we bought her some. She bought more for herself because she has a big garden. I bought a set and my mum bought more for her garden (all over the course of about two years). A lamp stopped working shortly after we placed it around a small tree in front of the entrance. Upon inspection, we found that the copper wire was snapped in half near the solar charger. We have no idea how it happened. The tree is in the middle of the garden, my mother works in the garden herself, and it happened in the middle of winter. The other strand in front still works. The solar panel has become milky so the light isn't as bright. The lights in my house are the newest, but they were ordered around the same time as my mom's last set. I installed them before Christmas and by mid spring they both stopped working. Since this happened a week apart, I suspected the battery needed replacing. It helped a little with one. The other device glows dimly for a while when I turn it off and then back on. Maybe I got a bad batch? The very first set I bought (in my mother's garden, 30 minutes away) still works. They begin to glow at dusk and often burn until dawn.
