Review on KOLERFLO Pressure Booster Automatic H15GR 15 by Gregory Shin

my attitude for water pumps, spare parts and accessories

The pump was received quickly from the manufacturer and the installation was not difficult. A time-consuming process is changing the route of the pipeline that I had to work on. It would be easier to do Pex, but I don't have the tools for it, so I decided to tinker with copper. It is important to run a bypass in case you want to turn off the pump for any reason. Install a check valve upstream of the pump (which you'll need anyway) and then run a line that bypasses the pump to another shut-off. In the bypass line, the valve is in the closed position unless you later need to remove the pump. No leaks when using standard 3/4. Copper bushings and pump nipples with rubber seal included. I use a switch setting on I, which turns on when the hot system calls for it. Setting II is always continuous and I'm not sure why this setting exists as it will likely cause the pump to fail and burn out for a long time if left on. This pump feeds the cold pipe of my hot water tank directly into the tank. built-in check valve. to the pump inlet. I added just under 10 psi to my hot water system. I used 3 elbows from the pump outlet to the cold in the tank so I'm probably not getting the full advertised PSI. If I had to run it again I would set it to horizontal just before the tank cools down. on a vertical copper rail. This would eliminate the elbows. The device is louder than expected. I can hear the second floor pump turning on, but the second floor bathroom is only 14 feet directly above the pump. Installing it somewhere further down the line will make it less audible, but it won't have enough power to provide additional PSI that is far down the chain for the entire home system. Also, I didn't want the pump to turn on by simply using cold water for a branch of cold lines where I would have installed the pump in the circuit. In general, an increased pressure in the soul is noticeable. I'll end up buying a $700 Davey pump and never think about it again. I doubt the durability of this unit other than the rubber seals which will eventually break and leak. There is also a rubber seal around the pressure sensor that may fail in the future. I wouldn't install this pump unless you have a floor drain in your tech room. I don't think this pump will last more than a few years and adding it to your system will only give you a connection for a week. If you have a floor drain in your utility room, you might feel better knowing your basement won't flood. There is a "model 20" unit that I haven't been able to locate. I would prefer this model as I have already done legwork. /2 inches. The "20" is 1" and will likely shrink to 3/4". Many Thanks,
