KOLERFLO Pressure Booster Automatic H15GR 15 Review

Bought as a booster pump to pressurize a washing machine and shower. Got a pump that doesn't use standard pipe threads so I had to buy lots of brass fittings to connect it. Finally, after several hours of work, I turned it on and it worked and worked and worked without pressurizing the system. After 5 min. I turned it off and it was already getting very hot. Tried again and nothing. I had to delete and return as useless. Wasted the whole day.

I have a side well quite far from home. I use it to water our garden. A downhole jet pump can only produce about 20 psi by the time the water reaches the house. This booster pump doubles the water pressure and halves the time it takes to water your garden. Very happy with it so far. The installation and operating instructions leave a lot to be desired. If you don't have basic plumbing skills, don't rely on the guide to help you.

I installed a shower pump last month and got about 20psi. However, I noticed that the motor gets very hot. Using a laser thermometer, I read 155 degrees Fahrenheit on the case. Pump works well after installation. The hardware is a pain in the ass to say the least. It took a couple of adapters to connect the hose threads to the PVC pipe threads, but I got them in the end. BUT, there are rubber washers on both ends of this thing for sealing. And totally fucked up. It is very difficult to stop it from flowing. This booster pump was installed in series after my shallow well pump. A shallow well pump produces about 40-50 psi indoors. I've had printing issues on the 2nd floor for a while so thought I'd give it a try. As you can see from the photos, installation was pretty easy. I installed a Shark Bite check valve just before the booster pump. You can see on the gauges I had about a 20 psi pressure rise. This pump isn't as loud as some have said in their reviews - it's quieter than my shallow well pump.
