I always stock the beige original version of the sponge. Those are ugly oranges that I don't want in my beautiful kitchen (yes, I'm picky!). Send it back and wait for the correct color to come out in October, Scotch-Brite Customer Service Representative. They still have a hole you don't have to pull off, but the new hole is for their new gray wand, which will have a D/W liquid detergent release button. If you want to keep your old clear stick, just leave the plug on. But the plastic backs of the new ones will still be dark gray instead of white. At least part of the sponge doesn't turn disgustingly orange!
