The bottom part that allows you to attach this key to your keychain broke on the fob and I wanted that feature back. After a simple YouTube video tutorial, I was able to take the old keychain apart and transfer most of the parts to the new one. The transmitter chip was not that easy to pull out and I was afraid that I would break it. So I decided to keep the old fob on top with the real metal key from the old fob and replaced the bottom/buttons/panic button with the new one and it worked great. A super cheap and easy way to replace a worn or broken key fob while the insides are still in good order.
