We have metal doors and didn't want to drill holes in the metal. It is ideal for this type of installation. Just remember not to pull on these blinds, the magnets are not designed to work under pressure or force. You have to be gentle or you'll tear down the blinds. But blinds don't fall if they are used correctly. In fact, he's holding up well. However, opening and closing the blinds is not a problem. It just occurred to me that the curtain is held in place by magnets and not a strong screw. Holds very well and stays in place. It may not be a good replacement for heavily used blinds.
