FOLLOW-UP REVIEW - Keeps drink really cold but sometimes has trouble with the straw

The best thing about this thermos is how cold it keeps your drink all day (or night). I usually put some ice in my drinks and find that the ice still hasn't melted when I finally wash out the thermos a few hours later or the next morning. This is true despite the fact that I may have been outside on my porch in the New York summer heat during the lockdown, working from home. The only complaint I have about this thermos is that the straw sometimes doesn't work like it should. Sometimes it seems that the DROP is too narrow and therefore does not fit securely in the flip top. Sometimes I feel like there's no such thing as a good seal so I get a little air when I take a sip and the straw comes out and falls into the drink once or twice. I opened the thermos and pushed the straw properly into the lid a couple of times to get a better seal. Since I didn't have a spare straw with me at the time, I didn't have a chance to try it out and see if I had the same issue. To update. I've had this thermos since last summer. While I still maintain that it keeps your drink cold for a long time, the ice stays intact, a new problem has arisen. Eventually I replaced the straw with the one they sent me and it worked great. But periodically, when you open a straw, the drink squirts and squirts. I don't know why, and I messed up paperwork on my desk a few times. I can't say when that will happen, or why it only happens sometimes. So I'm deducting a star. When it works I love it. But the problems of the time I was having dampened my enthusiasm.
