So happy with my little heater! I've tried a few others before and that was the keeper. It's reasonably quiet, doesn't make any annoying noises, and doesn't emit any unpleasant or chemical odors (unlike many other heaters in the same price range). It produces enough heat for me to work at home. Office without having to wear gloves/hat/heavy sweater but not out of control. It also has an added safety feature: if it tips over, it will stop working. The cable doesn't get hot (another good sign) and the device doesn't overheat. However, I'm still paranoid about house fires and leave the device on the little rock stand I have and unplug it for the evening when I'm done. It's definitely not intended to heat an entire room - when the heating in my apartment was off for the day, I turned it on in my living room, and while it definitely sucked in cold air, if you walked away from it, you were cold . It's perfect for office/home use but nothing more, but for the price it's a great bargain!
