I bought this to power a subwoofer/amplifier I got rid of from my old car when I got rid of it. I wasn't sure if there was enough juice. Two 300W RMS Alpine R-12 amps paired with one 600W RMS Alpine amp. Everywhere you read people will tell you the math doesn't work since this thing is only rated for 30 amps, but I'm happy to say it works like a charm. The subwoofers bang hard enough to vibrate all of my basement doors and the pictures on the walls in the rest of the house. Judging by the digital meter on the front panel, the power output typically stays in the 5-10 amp range during bass-heavy scenes in movies, and lower when listening to normal-level music. So it clearly has headroom for an even more powerful rig if you have one. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a reliable, clean, and safe conversion.
