Ready to use

After connecting the wires of the two transceivers to the terminals and connecting the power cord, I set this power supply to 13.8 VDC, switched it on and started immediately. . This is a 22 amp power supply upgrade that proved necessary. Stable tension. There are no noise problems. I did not notice any significant warming of the housing and the cooling fins. And they delivered a day or two early, which made me very happy. Of course, I saved all the documents that I printed out and used for the

Highly recommended for computers and accessories

I bought this to power a subwoofer/amplifier I got rid of from my old car when I got rid of it. I wasn't sure if there was enough juice. Two 300W RMS Alpine R-12 amps paired with one 600W RMS Alpine amp. Everywhere you read people will tell you the math doesn't work since this thing is only rated for 30 amps, but I'm happy to say it works like a charm. The 13.8v auto-set switch to power typical hams is a nice feature to prevent you from accidentally putting too much or too little power into your setup, although it reads 13.9v, which isn't a problem should be. I also like the extra power of this power supply. It should be able to easily handle 100W setups plus low-power devices via the front cigarette lighter plug. This device hasn't been used for many hours, that's why I've retained 5

Good general purpose power supply, terrible RFI for wireless applications

This is a pretty good power supply if you just need to power something that would normally run off a car battery. It's pretty quiet and beautifully finished. The only complaint I can have is that the case really isn't designed for any type of mount. Now for the bad: The power supply generates an enormous amount of radio interference. So if you intend to use it to power a receiver or transceiver be prepared to be disappointed, especially when thinking of RF operation. From about 1MHz to about…
