Review on FinalStraw: Collapsible, Reusable Metal Straw with Travel Case & Cleaning Tool - Stainless Steel, Eco-Friendly, Easy to Clean by George Santana

Too many design flaws. Do not buy.

So many design flaws. I really expected better. The lid of the straw is so thin. It doesn't stay open and you have to struggle to pull out the cleaning brush and straw with your fingers. When you finally pull out the straw, it will pop out of you to smooth it out. Cleaning is a HUGE issue. The silicone between the joints can trap sugar and liquids and I have to force the straw out and insert the small brush between the joints to clean the inside. However, due to the elasticity of the silicone/plastic, it is difficult to stretch during cleaning. I have carpal tunnel and it makes my hands hurt even more. The brush is foldable which is LOVELY when you put it in a straw and it collapses while cleaning! Once you finish brushing, drying becomes an issue as well. The water gets trapped in the silicone between the joints, so I had to flex and shake it to get as much water out as possible. Finally, once dry, I have to bend it into an awkward shape to put it back in a plastic case with a thin lid that doesn't stay open (it only opens 90 degrees). Also, I ordered two of these and one of the brushes had fewer bristles than the others! The lanyard is also VERY short and flimsy. These straws are such a hassle to clean/maintain that I don't even want to use them. This product tried to be handy and portable but it is not durable or user friendly. I've only used it twice since I received it. Save your money!
