My 8 year old daughter has been using the new headphones for about a week. She put them in her backpack for our Thanksgiving trip to the West Coast and shared them with her two cousins (ages 5 and 9) during our week-long visit. So far they have held up great! These headphones are not flimsy at all. The headband itself is made of hard, thick plastic with a soft, comfortable rubber material on the bottom that provides a comfortable cushion on my daughter's head. The earcups sit very snugly on the ears and the padding feels secure at the base (so far). I tried to pull the material to make sure it came off easily. You need a lot of strength to loosen it. The Bluetooth wireless capability fully justifies the higher cost compared to other wired versions. The charge lasts for the whole day, even when the LED is on. Pairing with our iPad was very easy. My daughter loves that she can now dance around the house while listening to her music. And now we don't have to worry about unplugging the cable from the iPad or spending a few minutes untangling the cables before each use. These headphones do not limit the volume. I tested them before giving them to our daughter. The sound quality is excellent for the price! But we do test our daughter when she's using them to make sure she's following our volume rules. If you have a younger child who doesn't know how to change the volume, you can easily adjust the volume yourself before putting it on the child. The volume can be changed using the buttons on the headphones (not very easy, takes some practice) or on your device. The fit is perfect for our regular sized 8 year old and they fit my ears too. I tested at least 50 different headphones on Revain before purchasing the Riwbox CT-7. I've kept debating whether I should just buy another cheap pair as we've tried so many sets over the years. I honestly think the CT-7s are worth their price (so far). And the cat ears and LED lights are adorable!
