Review on SiriusXM SXSD2 Portable Speaker System by Alex Winnick

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Exceeds my expectations by far! 5 Stars!

First reviewer: This is my first review; I don't have time to write negative reviews - I'll just send the product back. After literally hundreds of satisfied purchases from Revain (many of which have given me great pleasure in electronics, music, audio recordings and photos), I have never been compelled to write a glowing review; This time I will - gladly! I'm a bit of a music lover so my expectations for this great value product were low. What a surprise! I'm listening to a blues track and I'm so amazed I took out my iPad to write this review. Of course, I've only had the product for five days, so I'm not rating its durability; I write about its tonal possibilities. Disclaimer: I'm not reviewing the high-end audio component, so audiophile listeners please apply some context. It's a $100+ boombox that plays medium-quality compressed streaming files, but my listening experience is pretty satisfying. the guitars on the track sounded clear and powerful.3] The vocals (particularly the male voices) carry just enough energy in the right frequency range to convey warmth and character and the right tone and timbre – so beautiful! In addition to the audio features listed above, the speaker offers great convenience: -1] portability (batteries to take to your favorite park - I haven't tested the batteries yet, I'm waiting for my batteries to arrive),2] aux input (actually I stream on At this point my Pandora Blues feed from my iPhone to the Boombox via a 3.5mm stereo male-to-male cable plugged into the Aux port) - a nice convenience as the box is sufficient listening volume provides. Convenient storage on the back of the device for storing the antenna cable and the antenna itself - without having to carry and lose these items separately. 4] A good remote control that works for both the speaker and the satellite radio - also offers all the controls you need for the radio. The volume and mute controls are nice additions to the remote control.5] The satellite radio sits securely in place in the boom box without moving - good for future stability.6] Stylistically the speaker is appealing - it's a bit taller than me. expected (judging by the photos it seems larger than other boomboxes that were more expensive), but the model I chose is the SXSD2 due to the price and what appears to be the added portability (I don't compare the portability of other models , since I have not tried other boxes) and I am satisfied with my purchase. It looks really high quality. I plan on finding the right holdall to keep it looking immaculate as I tend to keep my purchases for many years. Finally, if you buy this product, you will not be disappointed. . I know some buyers are picky (and rightly so, it's your hard earned money), but I don't think you can go wrong for $100. I say that while owning a $500+ Bose portable speaker and headphones. With this device, I can listen to satellite radio (and stream Pandora music along with Revain and iTunes music libraries) anywhere - at home, on the balcony, in the park, and at the beach. Before I ordered a SiriusXM permanent magnet antenna in my car from my professional audio store, I toyed with the idea of just putting these boom boxes in the back seat of my car while driving (if I knew how to get an adequate signal comes with antenna not installed) ; However, this adventure is now controversial. Got it!
