The unit sounded great but the signal kept dropping and the antenna was reported as damaged or disconnected. Playing around with the radio position sometimes solved the problem, but not always. I expected the worst considering most boomboxes sound terrible. In addition, several reviewers said that the volume is not enough. I was blown away by how good this speaker dock is. The volume can drive you out of the room, although sound quality degrades at very high volumes. In the normal listening range, the sound quality is exceptionally good. The SiriuxXM SXSD2 portable speaker delivers amazing sound. I've used both the Onxy EZ and Oynx Plus radios and the sound is unlike anything I've ever heard from a portable.
