We use this product to repair our worn rope handles. And it works great and is a cheap alternative to buying new heavy battle ropes. Our heavy duty rope handles wear out about once a year, you will use this product to repair the end/handle so we can keep using the ropes without having to buy new ones. You will need a "heat gun" to activate the product. We bought a cheap heat gun from Home Depot for $10. We use this product for our 1 1/2 Battle Ropes. (First wrap monster tape around the ends of the rope handles to secure them, then add shrink wrap around them and use a heat gun to secure them.) Just make sure you check the shrink diameter, we originally did that bought the wrong product. first time. (did not shrink and fell off after a week)
