The main wiring harness is frayed. After I fixed the wires, I needed some heavy-duty heat shrink tubing that could fit over a large 1.5" jack and then shrink to less than half that size. This worked perfectly, sealing both ends tightly and still being flexible.

I decided that instead of trying to replace the foam grips, I would try this large shrink tubing and put it on top of my grips. With some trimming, leveling, and using a heat gun, this pipe worked perfectly!
