Review on 🚪 PRIME-LINE C 1190 Sliding Glass Door Pull Handle: 6-1/2 in. - 6-5/8 in. Hole Centers, Black Diecast Supports with Wood Handle by Chris Thrower

Bought 2 of these to fix a sliding glass door that didn't open and close easily. They work, but I'm less than impressed. The wood is mostly untreated, rough wood. One of them still had traces of chalk or paint from cutting or marking or where it came from. Both had rough edges and splinters. Are the screws that hold the wooden handles to the metal part also of poor quality, or is it just the poor quality of the wood? They were loose when I received them, I tightened them and after about 3 months of use both wooden handles came loose again. So I have to take the whole handle off, remove the screws, apply some wood glue and a toothpick to the holes, retighten the screws and hope they hold. Maybe I'll pickle and sand them down while I'm at it. The only reason they get 2 stars instead of 1 is because they are cheap and sometimes you get what you pay for.
