First let me be clear that if I was just writing this to see how well it worked it would get a 4 or higher. It's too early to tell if it deserves all five stars, but it's surprisingly reliable and intelligent. Here's what lowers my score: It was like receiving a poorly packaged puzzle. Despite the box, the packaging was actually just a plastic bag with two pieces of frame and extension wrapped in bubble wrap. All the parts were there but there was no way to find out because there were no instructions! No snippet, no website note. Luckily only a dozen parts, that wasn't rocket science. But there was no way of knowing if I assembled it correctly until I stood the bike on it and hoped it wouldn't collapse. it is of autumn; I pressed it lightly from all sides, and the base didn't budge. Also on the plus side, I have an unconventional e-bike frame which has prevented me from using two other similarly designed racks.
