As a designer I would therefore like to clear up some negative comments. First of all, it is a beautiful fabric that should be treated accordingly. If you want to have your dog, cat and other pets on it, I can suggest a blanket. To keep it from tearing when you wash it, I recommend buying a tarp for your bed. The instructions clearly state that you cannot use a blender. Now for the bedding set. The color is much nicer than in the picture and the fabric is woven. The quality is much better than Waterford with the plastic stamp I bought a year ago for over $300. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 (I really want to give the set a 4.5) is because I agree with the slightly larger size. Mattresses have grown by at least 4 inches in the last 10 years, and bedding manufacturers have to keep up. Perhaps offering a super queen size for large queen mattresses would be the King of California's solution. I am happy about my purchase. In general, the company has an excellent rating and I hope that a few negative reviews from careless people will not affect your decision to JAG
