'Mainly made for little people's eyes I think. I bought these binoculars to look at the high shelves where I work. I work in a warehouse where there are pallets of goods and the labels on those pallets are sometimes in small print. They're fine for the job, but I wouldn't take them where the field of view should be wide. Bird watching requires a wide field of view. The field of view with them gives you a very narrow target (object of focus). Don't let "30 x 60" fool you. I have an old pair of 7x35 binoculars and the field of view is just great. This can be good for concerts (like a symphony orchestra). It is NOT 30 x 60.
