Parts fit and work right out of the box, even with stock calipers. I wish the instructions for placing the anti-rattle clips were clearer. The ones on my truck were different. Presumably the ones in my truck were aftermarket designs from a brake change at a local shop many years ago. The supplied ones look like the originals. Note that the process will be interrupted. You want a stretch of road where you can brake aggressively from 40 to 5 mph 5 times in rapid succession, then moderately from 35 to 5 mph 5 times, and then drive for 5 minutes without stopping.
