Wow - a fun step by step tape review! I know - a boring thing, but it gives thrills and chills as you read on. The day after I ordered this, a colleague warned me against buying "those cheap things". She recommended that I purchase Duck Brand HP260 Heavy Duty Packing Tape, 1.88" x 60 Yards, 3.1 Mil, Crystal Clear, 6 Pack + 2 Bonus Rolls (1067839), which we use at work. She pulled out an inferior material she ordered (not from Revain) and it looked like the product in the picture but had obvious warping, thickness issues (it varied noticeably) and an adhesive that felt oily and sticky to the touch - and smelled bad. a little. Luckily I was relieved when it arrived the next day. I could tell right away that it wasn't the same as what my colleague ordered. It was more transparent, much thicker and held up well. Thankfully without the sticky feeling of stickyness on the cheap stuff that colleague had - and no disgusting smell. It's been a few days since it arrived and I've covered almost half of my boxes with this stuff - no problem with any of them. while it is difficult to distinguish this product from the one above, which I often use at work. Temperatures have been hovering between the upper 70's lately and we've even had some frosts with rates in the low 30's. The boxes were taped shut at all temperatures and then moved to a poorly insulated garage. During this time I had no problems sticking this tape on anything. It's strong, sticky, and strong enough to hold multiple boxes together after tipping. From what I've seen so far I would trust this tape to seal and ship any items I occasionally ship as part of my job.
