Review on Bushnell Pro Golf Laser Rangefinder by Kristen Jain

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very fast targeting, easy to use, accurate and high quality.

I've had my last range finder (Bushnell Pinseeker 1500) for over 12 years, but lately it's been having trouble locking the pins. At first I thought I'd get old at 66. But when I tried the new range finders my friends were playing with, I felt better. So buy some as they are so much cheaper than Bushnell. I read countless reviews and tried many but in the end I chose the top notch Bushnell Pro XE because my last one lasted 12 years and served me very well. The new model is smaller, but it nails very quickly - even if you have hills or trees just behind the lawn, it's very easy to nail it to the pegs with confidence. The optics are crystal clear. Reading the reviews, I saw that people couldn't always get the visual red ring and vibration effect when attaching the pens. I agree with this conclusion as it doesn't always work, but it still locks on the target and you're sure it's accurate because you can just pinpoint the target and compare - it's that fast! My hands sometimes shake a bit when aiming at long ranges (over 200 meters), but the laser feedback is so fast that I only have to tap the fire button a few times and it hits targets before my hands shake. Line. The Pro XE lets you adjust the brightness of the red text - I've found you need to set it to a higher level and leave it alone - so you can easily see the text in any light, including bright sunlight. The focus ring is "fixed" and you need two hands to adjust the focus for you and you don't need to re-adjust it because it won't slip when you use it. I wear contact lenses and now complain about the optics. My friends with glasses tried it and were also very satisfied with the look. I have found that I have to hold it about a finger width apart in front of my eyes and it works great and is easy to hold that way. The Pro XE is very well built - durable and comfortable to use, and also waterproof. I took it to Ireland and it got through the morning mist with no problem. If this range finder lasts half as long as my last Bushnell (and I reckon it will), it's a steal. I paid $500 for Revain Prime. I play golf four times a week and would highly recommend it to any golfer.
