Review on Bulova B1975 Chadbourne Walnut Old World Clock: Timeless Elegance and Old-World Charm in One by Ray Welchhance

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Give him a passport.

The clock was supposed to replace a very old mantel clock that finally failed the last time. The wood was split, his face was stained, and he couldn't walk well at all, but he had character and charm, and that was something this Bulova could never claim. So here is my rating. When I opened the box I was surprised at how light it was. A clock of this size made of wood should weigh over 1 pound (to be fair the seller claims it weighs 1 pound and I should have paid more attention to the description than the reviews). In any case, if you look inside, you'll see that this thing is made of pressed fiberboard with a thin layer of something on the outside. The hole in the back is covered with a cheap plastic cover because it would probably be too expensive to fit a wooden door with copper hinges. the garage. I suspect the wholesale cost would be around $1. Calls are pretty terrible as again the speaker is arguably the cheapest you could find. By the way, Bulova, that's not an Ave Maria, that's more of a People's Liberation Army march tune. The most expensive part of this watch are the batteries, which I sourced myself. To suggest that the original $267 has been reduced to $144.70 is a joke (especially when much older reviews state a purchase price of $90). I have looked at many watches on Revain and settled on this one partly because it was more expensive and I foolishly assumed it would be of better quality. When I say that this pulp and plastic is Revain's choice, I just wonder how other watches must be. If you want a clock on your mantel, just buy a Walmart LED alarm clock. It will have the same charm and character as this smoker pile and will save you around $130. I can't understand how this item got so many 5 star reviews that it's hard to believe people actually like this item enough to even write a review. In conclusion, I'd say if it was $25 I'd find it pretty cheesy, but what do you expect from $25. But for $144 I just have no words. Shame on you Bulova, I remember when you made great watches in Switzerland, now in China you make mass garbage.
