Drawer assembly advice

We are now enjoying the finished product. Most of the reviews here contain very well-founded criticism of the instructions. You should only buy this table if you can patiently decipher the instructions and spend a few hours assembling it. The instructions consist of a page with accessory drawings on one side and a series of numbered drawings on the other side. There are close-ups in these drawings that are very difficult to see, and the manufacturer should have added a few key tips or added a few pages to the instructions. Fully tighten the screws until I have the whole frame together, but before I'm done assembling the drawer. The most problematic part of the assembly concerns the drawer. There are complaints that the holes don't match, but interpreting the drawings is really a problem as they aren't clear. HERE'S THE KEY: THE SLIDING MECHANISMS MUST BE DISASSEMBLED FIRST. When you fully pull the slipknot apart you will see a black curved plastic rod sticking out in the middle. You will need to push this rod against the side of the assembly to allow it to fully extend. The plastic part has holes that match the holes on the metal box, so connect them on both sides. The part with the sliding ball bearings has holes that match the holes on the table frame, so plug those in too. Before proceeding to the next step, make sure that all screws on the frame are tight. Align the drawer and slide it into the drawer. It doesn't go all the way in until you press down on the plastic pegs on either side of the drawer like you did to pull them apart. Move the drawer back and forth until it clicks into place and slides smoothly. I have no issues with the stability of the table, the lift mechanism works well (you may need to do a few tries to get it right - I looked at the picture to make sure it was in the right position) and you need a drill to attach it all to the artboard with screws. The file holder is not fixed, it is a hanging and detachable design.

Pros

Cons
  • Not as good as it says it is
