wooden handle, goes well with the bristles of the brush, not cheap. The bristles are very soft in my opinion, no synthetic or plastic. If I'm not mistaken, I think it's horse hair. I use it to remove leftover cut hairs that are stuck to my skin. Removes hair very well. I am very sensitive to the hairs that remain on the skin which makes me itchy. I like to cut my hair to NO-GUARD, very short. If it can easily remove short, spiky hair, it will definitely work on longer or softer hair. I highly recommend this product and it refreshes afterwards!
