So I purchased these boots for myself and my wife to use in our lawn maintenance business and we have worn them for a week. Overall fit was great, and these boots are VERY comfortable to wear ALL DAY! I love their flexibility when I have to kneel down and pick things up off the ground. They are waterproof, but the design does not cover you foot where there are two holes on the sides of the tongue near your ankle and water will get in if you are stepping in anything deeper than the bottom of your ankle. The boots have great traction walking in grass, dirt, gravel, etc., but NOT on smooth rocks (we often have clients with dry creek beds that we have to walk on to blow leaves.). When I say smooth rocks, I am referring to the large smooth rocks used in landscaped ponds sometimes called pond rocks. These boots have absolutely NO TRACTION on damp rocks, sealed wood decking/stairs to the point that its like walking on ice! USE CAUTION if you're hiking in the rain and climbing rocks! You WILL fall. Other than that, they are great. I will right another review after wearing them for a while and let you know how well they last. I know that using them for work will reduce their lifespan, so take that under you consideration if you are just using them for weekend hikes. I might try a different pair of the same brand for the next ones when these are worn out, or sooner if I slip and fall.
