Review on Hillman 42487 Premium Stainless 4 Inch by Alexander Scharon

3 stars less for rating the screws themselves than for the description on Revain. These are not 8 inch screws. Maybe it's my own lack of knowledge and maybe they don't even make screws that long, but the notation should be changed to say #8 x 1 1/4" instead of 8 x 1 1/4". This is misleading because I thought they were 8" with a 1 1/4" unthreaded part near the head. Then again, maybe everyone else on the planet intuitively knew that, but I didn't. I'm sure these are great screws for what they are, just not what I was looking for and I won't bother returning them. I'm sure I'll find a use for them at some point, it's just frustrating here and now.
