It was really necessary to get the last 1/16 inch of depth required to install this cooler. For the radiator I also had to attach a large spacer and one of the small spacers inside the radiator as well as pipe tape on the threads to seal completely. I think if this was mounted in one metal wall it would probably be a bit to the other.
