Review on T1A 1988 2000 Exterior Replacement T1A 15991786 by Jeff Rhodes

I didn't like that it matched my C3500 GMC tailgate this year. I saw other adverts for fitment issues and specifically chose this product because it clearly stated that it would fit my year's boot lid. You need to cut off the top tabs holding it in place. 1/16" excess on the top tabs, I will use my sander and file to remove material from the tailgate trim to prevent a 1/4" curved gap at the top. The shackle interferes with the proper functioning of the latch and looks very shabby by the time this mod is finished. would i do it again Never order from a dealer or directly from GMC or Chevy unless you need the extra work necessary to make it work properly.
