Review on Continental Light 60mm Presta Valve Tube: Durable and Efficient Cycling Essential by Jason Cavett

OK. Overall I think these tubes are great BUT the quality control is, um, a little lacking. I bought 5 tubes, four were fine but one came with two 1" slits in the rubber. Unfortunately, I only discovered this when I went out on the street at night and got myself an apartment. It looked like it had been cut with a utility knife (see photo) but when I fished the box out of the trash the box was undamaged. Also, the cuts could be placed in a way that they couldn't be made after the tube had been rolled up for packaging, so the error must have come from somewhere in the manufacturing process. The big irony here is that I recently switched from Fortes to Contis because I struggled with the fact that Fortes was bad from the start. Damn! what should a girl do From now on I will open all bottles as soon as they arrive, check them for damage and even inflate them to make sure they are holding air before just tossing them in my bag and assuming everything is fine. sooo Emtor cyclist!
