That's great. I gave up my dishwasher a few years ago and.

This is amazing. A few years ago I gave up the dishwasher and went back to washing dishes by hand. Too many cleaning supplies and chemicals were needed to run the DW. (for the body and the budget) Then came the biohazard studies associated with DW - I was done with that. My dear husband pulled out an old dishwasher and offered to buy me a new one of my choice, but really - I just don't want to mess with them anymore. (and more, storing things in DW until we have enough to run, or whoever loads/discharges lowers electricity bills, lowers water bills.) We've taken over and my husband put in some shelving - and now I can show off more of my cooking stuff Kitchen from the 1940s. --Love it. =) I wash dishes by hand with dish soap and VERY hot water. I buy sponges and veggies, but I save even more money by buying kitchen towels. You're worth it. They are made of half cotton on one side and half polyester on the other. Enough to remove food debris but not enough to scratch the surface. Every evening I put an old kitchen towel with my laundry for cleaning and sterilizing and in the morning I take a new kitchen towel out of the drawer. Very easy. Many Thanks. =

Pros
  • GENTLE CLEANING. One side made of soft cotton, the other side made of polyester allows cleaning without damaging surfaces or kitchen appliances.
