🧼 5-Pack Ritz Cotton Dish Cloth with Poly Scour Side, Blue/Green, 12x12-Inch Review

As I read most reviews I am kind of blown away by how awful these flannels are and would have given lower stars if that was an option. Before and after washing (and now they're drying in the bin) they're literally as hard as bricks. They are defeated and destroyed by ONE wash on the gentle cycle. As you can see from the photos they are completely worn on ALL FOUR corners which breaks the integrity of the fabric itself rendering them unusable. I absolutely do not recommend these washcloths…

I ordered the same kitchen towels a few years ago and still use them, they were excellent quality. The order I just received would not go through for second rate fabrics. The edge seams fell apart and/or unraveled when I washed them before attempting to use them. Also, a mesh could be used on the cleaning side of the fabric, but the mesh pattern is very uneven. Four out of five of these rags have frayed edges after an initial "wash before use" wash. This is unacceptable. Of course I could sew them up, but I didn't buy new rags for that. To USE before you USE. Maybe if they cost $1 a pack, but they cost significantly more ($2 each). If no one returns the faulty item, how will the seller know the item is non-compliant? If mfg. If you choose this option, you will have to hand sew the edges if you want them to last. wash or two.

My old set lasted over 6 years - it still worked but was so dirty it never looked clean even after bleaching it's more durable than my old ones (of course they were very old!) I use mine to wash dishes, pots and pans, and to clean cutting boards and kitchen countertops. I don't have a problem with them being smelly but I suspect it has to do with the brand of dishwashing liquid used as it stopped completely for me when I switched from my old favorite. Ever since I discovered the dirty washcloths, I've been on the hunt for the perfect one. I started with micro fabrics but after regular washing they had stink problems. Also, stains seemed almost impossible to get off of them, so I never felt like they looked clean. And isn't that an important part of dishwashing?
