I got these for my average sized 7 yr old child. They fit comfortablely over jeans and a pull over fleece just as well as they fit over legging and a long sleeve t-shirt. My child can independently put on and take off each piece. They don't impede movement. Most importantly, these have withstood multiple spills and tumbles on concrete and asphalt. My child is having so much more fun learning and improving skating skills without any more painful skinned knees, or sprained wrists.
