5 stars because this rating has nothing to do with the quality of the device. FRAM Fresh Breeze are the best devices on the market. Both FRAM and the matching engine from Revain are a whole different story to match your vehicle to the right unit (at least for the Nissan Altima). Examined the cabin air filter on the 2008 Nissan Altima SE. In short, pretty much everything I found didn't fit OEM sizes. If anything is over 0.75 inches thick, you're probably in trouble. I bought this device (FRAM CF10550) which I haven't fully tested yet. Confirmed MANN FILTER MC 1012 was totally wrong (although Revain filter match said it was right). ). The ATP RA-9 (Carbon Unit) size is suspect, but I expect confirmation soon. Long story short, I went to my local dealership and picked up a WIX 24400. It was exactly the same size and shape as the OEM filter. This is a big deal for Nissan as their filter entry point is about 30% smaller than the actual open filtered space. The short version is you have to work hard to insert it properly without damaging the filter. One side of the WIX is that it's just a regular cloth filter, just like an OEM, although the filter media is thicker and better looking than the OEM. However, Fram filters are amazing with their odor-binding abilities after a full hour of use. , I can't find a suitable matching system to check the Fram SKU and I'm not diluting. Based on the sizing chart the CF10550 actually fits an 08" Altima, although the sizes are narrower than most others I've found other than WIX. Short version - if you want something simple and right (no baking powder or charcoal), WIX 24400 is available from www.amazon.com and works great BIG HINT - you will thank me later but with the correct filter you ABSOLUTELY DO NOT need to remove the glove box, just reach underneath, remove the filter cover and insert the new filter after the old one was removed it took 2 minutes after spending 3 hours researching, pulling out the globe box, testing 2 poorly sized filters etc. I wish I had a review like this before I wasted hours and money on all the potentially wasting wrong equipment Spoke directly to FRAM Your site is the ONLY site I have ever found correct Everyone else and are wrong. Go here and you will clearly see part number CF11173 for the 2008 Nissan Altima. Approximate measurements are 0.7" deep (anything larger will not work). 10"x11" vertically and horizontally. Here are the exact measurements direct from FRAM. Product Height: 0.79" Product Width: 11 .03" Product Length: 10.6" The WIX SKU listed is correct, but like most OEMs, this is a regular paper filter. FRAM is well worth the extra few dollars and the hassle. I have one in my wife's KIA Sedona and there is a noticeable difference in air quality and smell. Don't waste your time with anything other than the Fram CF11173 on a Nissan Altima. Revain does not wear them at the time of this review. The best place we found was Tractor Supply and sometimes it needs to be specially ordered. This was confirmed by a spokesman for Fram.
