While I don't take full advantage of it, it does a great job for the only purpose I was given it for. I have a piece by piece surround system and everything has a separate remote control except for my subwoofer amp and as a result I often turned everything off when I was done except for the subwoofer because I just didn't think about it. until i noticed it sometimes after 2 or 3 days. Thanks to the fact that this unit has its own remote control, I just turn it off from my comfy chair when I turn off everything else. Since it has 2 outputs, I can also connect my whole system amplifier to it and switch off the whole system with one click. The only problem I have is finding a replacement battery when the battery that came in the box died as I've never seen a type halved like AAA before, but I'll take care of that when the time comes . I'm sure there are Batteries Plus. It's been advertised for Christmas lights and the like and I have no doubt it does a great job.
