I bought this for my kids Xbox controller and headset. The Xbox controller headphone jack is broken so the microphone doesn't always work. This seems to have basically solved the problem. One of the remote controls, which worked unstably with a headset connected to the standard connector, does not work at all with this adapter. Other remotes that didn't work with the headset jack will work fine with this adapter. I have no idea what's wrong, but my kids are happy that the headset is stable on at least one remote.
