So far they work well, allowing me to get to within an inch of the garage without hitting them and pull the car up as high as I can. The smell was overpowering when I first opened the box, which I foolishly did in my house. Then instead of putting them in the garage, I immediately put them outside for a few days to disperse the smell. I also noticed that my hands smelled after I picked them up. There's still a slight smell in the garage, but it's gone. I have a separate 1 1/2 stall garage. Very sturdy but the bottom of one of them isn't square/flat so it wobbles a bit. I moved it a few times to make sure the surface wasn't uneven. The other is sitting. Even on bumps, both work well. Because they are big, they stop the car well without you having to worry about moving or hitting them. Time will tell if they move at all or if they need to be adjusted or fixed to the ground.
